About:

California native. Vegetarian for 27+ years, and care very much about the environment, concerned about global warming. Active in local recycling groups. Have two grown sons: Alan is a UCLA grad and Navy pilot and Brian, a UC Santa Cruz and Purdue graduate who made this great web site. Commute by bike to work on most days. Have a big fluffy German Shepherd dog who is my constant, loyal, gorgeous, and very smart companion.

What I would like to find:

More time to play tennis, read, ride my bike, and hike. More people involved in improving the lot of this planet. More people riding or walking to work and getting out of their cars.

My Interests:

Environment, tennis, emergency nursing. Enjoy hiking, biking, tennis, photography and literature among other things.

Music:

Barbra Streisand, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, and many others. I work out to nature videos, or lectures from www.ted.com, which is free, and is inspired talks by the world's greatest thinkers and doers.

Books:

Count of Monte Cristo, Lord of the Flies, Candide, Poems of Robert Browning, Angela's Ashes, and most recently tried to read A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, but it was pretty dry after Candide! Voltaire spoiled me. Enjoyed the Harry Potter series.

Television:

Not much, but watch House, Desperate Housewives, Documentaries, The Simpsons, Dancing With the Stars. I love nature shows. I usually watch something off hulu.com for free when I workout, if I don't have a DVD on hand.

Movies:

Comedies (rare good ones), documentaries, nonviolent movies with good plots, romance. I highly recommend "No End In Sight", which is available as an instant download from Netflix, BTW.
