| I am looking to help children in Malawi (Africa) by providing simple basics which are in fact luxuries to them. Most children do not have decent clothing or shoes and often walk around barefoot. A simple pair of flip flops would brighten the day of most kids in Malawi..and protect their tiny feet from the scorched earth. Expectant mothers attend rural hospitals with nothing to dress the newborn baby in. Some hospitals do not provide blades for the midwives to cut the umbilical cord at delivery and survival really does become a lottery for these innocent children. There are a number of aid organisations working in Malawi and their efforts are greatly appreciated. However, we cannot sit back and fold our arms when we can ably participate in making someone's life a little more bearable and give them hope for the next day. |
