Habitat for Humanity of Santa Cruz County provides low income families with clean, safe places to live and raise their children. We work with and for our community, fulfilling dreams for families with no place else to turn.

Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer housing ministry with Christian roots, which draws together people of ALL faiths and backgrounds to build decent, affordable homes with low-income families.

Habitat seeks to make shelter for all a matter of conscience for all.

Habitat for Humanity Santa Cruz County is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International. Our affiliate builds houses using contributions and volunteer labor. The families selected for our housing program provide 500 hours of work during construction (sweat equity). They also pay a no-interest mortgage. The funds from the mortgage payments are used to build more homes.
