FreeMesa.org Connects Communities Like Never Before

San Jose, CA (Feb. 7, 2007) - FreeMesa.org, the world's first easy-to-use freecycling website, announced today that it is the first website to connect let its members freecycle by distance rather than forcing them to manually join and maintain multiple freecycle communities.

"This change streamlines the entire process. Now users can say 'I am willing to drive 20 miles' rather than have to manually select what communities they want to be a part of. Now the users are alerted only to relevant free stuff in their area." said Brian Johnson, Director of FreeMesa.org. "It took several months of development, but this change makes freecycling much easier."

The new process, based off of postal codes, allows members in the United States and 43 other countries to be notified of offers and requests within easy commuting distance of their homes automatically. Based off of this, the website alerts members as posts become available.
