What is this 'Free Stuff'?

You'd be surprised! More often than not, people freecycle items of high quality that are still very useful. Good quality high end items tend to last longer which makes them much more likely to eventually need a new home. The variety of free stuff being freecycled is also amazing as well. Hot tubs, used cars, furniture, computers, clothes, kitchen gadgets, kitchen sinks, building supplies - you name it - it's been freecycled on FreeMesa.

To freecycle stuff on FreeMesa is better than to recycle it. In recycling, the item is still reprocessed into a new item, and this requires energy and generates waste. When you freecycle your old stuff, there is no waste at all since the item finds a new home and can continue being useful, even though your need of the item has since passed. The quality of the things produced today is so good that the useful life often far exceeds the needed life. To recycle a perfectly good object by melting it down and reforming it into exactly the same thing for someone else makes no sense.

Help Local Charities

FreeMesa has a charity search where you can find local charities near your home and see the list of things they currently need. Helping charities is a great thing to do, and now it is really easy to help. With this search, you can find charities in your local area, see what they do, and see the stuff they need to help their cause.

Charities are often in need of the same things - an animal shelter always needs new towels or a homeless shelter needs blankets, for example. By searching the charity wish list, you can easily find organizations located near you and see what they need. You can also search to see if there are any charities that need exactly what you have to give away. Your old stuff finds new life in a new home helping the people live better lives, and they find the free stuff they need - all at no cost to you or the environment. This is the ultimate Win-Win.
