iPhones & other cool stuff!

April 05, 2009

Hello!

Its hard to believe its already spring of 2009. It's been quite a ride the last couple months. The economy has been a wild roller coaster of doom that seems to do nothing but head downhill at ever faster speeds. The number of people in need of help seems to be growing every day. Given that it's about time for Spring Cleaning anyway, we thought a contest would be a fun way to get the word out and help people encourage people to freecycle their old stuff and find the free stuff they need.

iPhones and Free Stuff!

An anonymous donor has been kind enough to give us some new Apple toys - specifically 7 iPod Shuffles and 1 iPhone. We thought about the best ways to share these with you, and thought it might be fun to offer them as prizes in a contest. By telling friends about FreeMesa or by posting items to freecycle you will earn points. Each point is a ticket in a drawing. Each week we will do a drawing for an iPod Shuffle. At the end of the contest (June 6) the person with the most points wins a shuffle, and the drawing that week will be for the iPhone. So, the more points you have, the more likely you are to win! :)

Tips for Living Green

We are also looking for Tips from our members on how ways we can save money while living green. With the economy and environment both in crisis we've never needed new ideas quite like now. We'll pick a few ideas and feature them in a new weekly newsletter. By helping each other, we can make it through.

Partners!

The economic crisis has been hard on individuals, non-profits, and businesses alike. One of the best ways to make it through a challenging time is with teamwork. As such, we're looking for partners our members would appreciate to cross promote. If you work for a green organization or green-friendly business, I encourage you to check out our Affiliate program.

Stay green, stay strong, and together we can get through this!

Cheers!

-Brian
