Green Tips from Green Members!

We had so many good ideas, I regret we can only bring you these two. But we will be adding a green tips section to feature them all. Bear with us! :)

With so many stores selling reusable shopping bags, I buy these bags to use as gift bags. They're about the same price and are actually another gift that cuts down on those plastic bags.

Decorate strong cardboard boxes for storage. They normally come free with new household bits and they can look really pretty. It's better than buying the plastic ones, and since they so often smash and end up at the tip... When your cardboard one dies it can then be recycled. Have some ideas on living green? Let us know!

FreeMesa Tip: Helping Charities

Many charities and non-profits are constantly running short of basic items - animal shelters always need towels, for example - stuff that many of us have in excess and could easily give away for free. Rather than having non-profits re-request the same items every week, we have a Wish List feature on FreeMesa.org to make it easier for people to freecycle items to the charities. You can find charities in your local neighborhood and see if they need anything you have just lying around the house that is currently propping up a couch or buried in a closet.

Thats all for now! I'll see you next week!

Cheers!
